HomeAway purchases Dwellable
The vacation property hub HomeAway has acquired Seattle-based Dwellable, a competing service with a highly rated mobile app. Dwellable stopped accepting new reservations October 1, and all rental properties listed on the site will soon be migrated to HomeAway. [Press release]

Bigcommerce Teams With Uber On Same Day Delivery
Uber is competing with Amazon Prime Now and on-demand delivery services such as Postmates and Favor by offering same day delivery through its network of drivers. Uber has announced several partnerships as part of the service it calls UberRUSH and began testing in New York last year, including Austin-based Bigcommerce. [Press release]
ROIKOI raises $1.7M
The Austin startup launched its employee referral recruiting platform this week, hot on the heels of announcing it closed a $1.7 million series A funding round. Early customers include HomeAway, as well as Intouch Solutions, Square Root and Zenoss. The ROIKOI platform, which harnesses employees’ social networks to identify the top 7 percent of their connections, will be demoed at the HR Tech Conference in Las Vegas next week. [Press release]
Rule could ban criminal history questions on Austin job applications
The City Council Economic Opportunity Committee voted to proceed with an ordinance that would outlaw questions about criminal history early in the hiring process for Austin companies with 10 or more employees. The committee will likely take up the issue again next month to begin answering the complex legal questions it raises. [Austin Monitor]
Dell expands partnership with CDW

Austin fitness game maker Blue Goji ready to launch
After three years of development and 18 months of beta testing, Blue Goji is launching its hardware and gaming platform for cardio equipment to entertain during exercise.
