Erik Mitisek leaving University of Denver’s Project X-ITE to lead new insurance-tech startup

Erik Mitisek, well-known local entrepreneur and former CEO of the Colorado Technology Association, announced this week that he would leave his role as executive director of DU’s Project X-ITE to join insurance-tech startup IMAgine Analytics. The new company will be a subsidiary of the national insurance brokerage firm IMA, which focuses on data analytics. Mitisek will join as president on August 1 and lead the charge to launch and grow the business. [Denver Post]

Ibotta finalizes lease to double size of office space — and add 92 new team members

Today, Ibotta, creator of the popular consumer shopping app, announced plans to expand into a second floor of the CenturyLink building that the company currently calls home. The new space will add another 38,000 square feet to Ibotta’s footprint and will enable the company to continue its rapid growth pace.
