eBags to be acquired by Samsonite
Samsonite began the process of acquiring Greenwood Village-based eBags this week. The company was founded by former Samsonite employees, and now the Hong Kong company plans to use eBags existing e-commerce reach to expand its own e-commerce capabilities. A startup creating staffing software for the cannabis industry, Wurk, raised $2 million this week. The extension of its seed round was led by Poseidon Asset Management with participation from Phyto Partners, Salveo Capital and The Arcview Investor Network. Alpine Labs launches new product
Alpine Labs, a Boulder-based maker of camera accessories, launched a new product this week. The latest in their line of photography tools, Spark allows users to control cameras using wireless infrared, traditional wired triggering, and the company’s mobile app. As with their other products, Alpine Labs is funding the project via Kickstarter pre-sales. Boulder brewery tech startup secures $700K equity funding
Boulder-based Arryved announced $700,000 in private equity funding earlier this week. The company has created a point-of-sale platform designed to help breweries keep track of customers’ tabs as they move about the brewery. The round was led by Foundry Group. [BizWest]
“Kayak for food delivery” launches in Denver
Bootler, a search engine for on-demand food and alcohol delivery, launched in Denver today. The Chicago-based startup aggregates data from other on-demand delivery services to help users find the best deals. The service is also available in Philadelphia and Austin. [Press release]
