Zen Planner acquired by Birmingham company
Daxko, a provider of software for health and wellness organizations like the YMCA, acquired Highlands Ranch-based Zen Planner. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Zen Planner’s 88 employees will remain in their Colorado office as part of Daxko. [Birmingham Business Journal]
Optiv acquires Malvern cybersecurity firm
This week, Colorado security company announced they’ve acquired Malvern, Pennsylvania-based Comm Solutions. Designed to expand Optiv’s reach, terms of the deal were also not disclosed. [Denver Post]

CU project uses tech to connect students with people from around the world
As part of a center within CU-Boulder’s College of Media, Communication and Information, students will have the opportunity to enter an on-campus shipping container and interact with people from around the world, including Syrian refugees, people in Mexico City and more. Inside the shipping container are life-size screens; the installation is managed by Shared Studios. The space will also be open to the public on a reservation basis. [Press release]

InvitedHome launches new monitoring product
Boulder-based vacation rental company InvitedHome launched HomeCraft this week, their latest product designed to help homeowners keep track of their vacation rentals. Boomtown and Comcast expand to Atlanta
Boulder-based accelerator has expanded their partnership with Comcast, bringing their program to Atlanta. The 12-week program will take place in Comcast’s regional headquarters and will be called the Farm Startup Accelerator. [Denver Business Journal]
