
ReadyTalk preparing for acquisition
A Denver-based provider of unified communications services, ReadyTalk, announced this week they’re preparing to be acquired by Atlanta’s Premiere Global Services, Inc., or PGi. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but PGi did say they plan to keep ReadyTalk’s Denver office open. [Denver Post]

ProtectWise closes $25M Series B
Denver cybersecurity company ProtectWise announced this week they had closed a $25 million Series B. Investors included Arsenal Venture Partners, Top Tier Capital Partners, Tola Capital and others. The company plans to use the funding to further develop their flagship platform, the ProtectWise Grid, and to add to their team. [Built In Colorado]

Go Code Colorado to kick off next week
Go Code Colorado, the annual competition held by the Colorado Secretary of State’s office that combines publicly available data and tech to solve local small business’ problems, will kick off Feb. 1 with an event unveiling this year’s “challenge statement.” Now in its fourth year, Go Code will last through May 24. SecureSet raises $4M Series A
Denver-based cybersecurity school SecureSet Academy announced the closure of a $4 million Series A this week. The round was led by the Colorado Impact Fund. SecureSet said they plan to use the funds to expand their bootcamp-style program to other U.S. markets; already in Denver and Colorado Springs, they expect to open a campus in Tampa later this year. MeetMindful moves to LoDo
Dating site MeetMindful set up shop in LoDo earlier this month after doubling their staff and jumping between coworking spaces. Ascent360 raises $1.9M seed round
Ascent360, a B2B SaaS company out of Golden, raised a $1.9 million seed round this week. Investors included Access Venture Partners, Nelnet, Bialla Venture Partners, Service Provider Capital, Rockies Venture Club and others.
