
Apptive acquired by Unbound Commerce
Boston-based Unbound Commerce has acquired Apptive to expand its mobile web solutions for mid-market retailers to include native mobile apps. Austin-based Apptive has focused on mobile app development, while Unbound Commerce optimizes retailers’ websites for mobile browsers, hosts them and connects payment processing services like PayPal and Google Wallet. RxWiki raises $5.7 million
CEO Donald Hackett said the Austin-based software maker will use the funds for further developing its software for independent pharmacies and expanding its workforce. RxWiki was founded in 2011, has 44 employees and serves roughly 8,600 pharmacists. [Austin Business Journal]
SolarWinds goes private in $4.5 billion sale

Tech investor raises $2.6 million for fund
Virgo Capital announced the latest round to contribute to its $15 million Opportunities Fund. The firm was founded by two former Goldman Sachs employees in Oklahoma City in 2005 and invests in companies with revenue between $10 million and $100 million, like Austin-based software maker Get Smart Content Inc. Roostify backed by USAA
Roostify has announced a series A funding round led by USAA, Colchis Capital and two unnamed banks. The financial details weren’t disclosed, but USAA invests in companies that develop technology to help it deliver financial services to U.S. service personnel.
