Sustainable Ventures, a coworking space provider for climate tech companies, recently opened the doors of its newest facility in Manchester, according to reporting by The Business Desk. Alongside providing physical space, the company equips startups and corporations with investments and expert support, having provided £1.2 billion in funding to date.
The space is situated in Manchester’s newest innovation district in the Renold Building as part of Sister, a joint venture between Bruntwood SciTech and the University of Manchester. It will be able to host more than 100 businesses, ultimately creating hundreds of high-skilled jobs in the city as climate tech innovators spanning from startups and corporations to public sector and academic partners take advantage of the hub’s opportunities.
From a design standpoint, Sustainable Ventures’ Manchester location incorporates sustainable materials from various companies, such as low-carbon wall tiles, carbon-negative bricks and partition walls made from natural fiber board. Embracing the climate innovations it works to facilitate, Sustainable Ventures will continue its efforts to help climate tech startups scale faster and build out their teams.
