Slide, a Connecticut company that builds backup solutions for managed service providers, announced a $25 million Series A round along with plans for Canadian expansion. Base10 Partners led the raise, which also saw participation from Outsiders Fund and Top Down Ventures.

Launched in February in the United States, Slide’s platform for business continuity and disaster recovery, or BCDR, is designed to integrate with the tools MSPs already use and features hybrid cloud and high-performance server workload protection. The company plans to put its new capital toward scaling platform development and operations to meet increasing demands for its solutions.

Slide plans to create a Canadian data center as part of its expansion strategy, while also accelerating R&D so that it can broaden its product capabilities to better serve hybrid environments.

“The incredible team at Slide understands the magic needed to help MSPs be successful. The road ahead is long, this funding gives us the resources to stay independent and keep building for MSPs,” Slide Chairman and Co-Founder Austin McChord said in a statement.
