8 SF Tech Companies, Including CircleCI and Shippo, Raised $218M Last Week

CircleCI closed on $100 million in new capital last week, plus more news on SF tech startup funding rounds you may have missed.

In an impressive week that more than doubles the amount of VC funding for SF tech companies announced the previous week, a group of eight startups pulled in over $225 million. Below are some of the rounds you might have missed.

CircleCI raised $100M. The startup provides a continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) platform for software developers and has now raised a total of $215 million in funding. The company counts heavy hitters including Facebook, Ford, NBCUniversal and Spotify among its customers. [Built In SF]

Bugcrowd got $30M. The crowdsourced cybersecurity platform’s Series D round was led by Rally Ventures. The company plans to use the new funding to expand its reach and open new offices in Australia, Costa Rica, London and Salt Lake City. [Built In SF]

Shippo pulled in $30M. The Series C funding will help the shipping platform continue its work of simplifying e-commerce companies’ order shipping process. The round was led by D1 Capital Partners. GOAT, OfferUp and Aesop are among the startup’s customers. [TechCrunch]

Tonkean got $24M. The operating system for operating teams was founded in 2015, and its adaptive business operations software is used by companies including TripActions and Hopper. The Series A round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. [FinSMEs]

Okera raised $15M. ClearSky Security led the round of new funding for the provider of secure data access software. The infusion of capital will help the company expand its engineering, sales and marketing teams. The company also named Nick Halsey as its CEO. [PR Newswire]

Ferrum Health got $9M. The startup offers an AI patient safety platform for health system executives. The seed funding round was led by Blumberg Capital and the new funding will help the company grow its engineering, sales and marketing teams. [FinSMEs]

Node raised $6M. Mark Cuban led the funding round for this startup, which has raised a total of $40 million to date. It helps developers and businesses deploy AI within their applications and products, even if they have little machine learning experience. [VentureBeat]

TrueNorth closed on $3M. The Y Combinator graduate offers a platform that helps independent truckers streamline their operations. [TechCrunch]

MyBuddy.AI raised $1M. The edtech startup’s seed funding round was led by LETA Capital. The company uses AI and voice tech to teach English to children. [VoiceBot.AI]
