Rocket, which operates a portfolio of lending and real estate technology companies, recently had one of its executives featured on TIME’s 2026 Executives of the Year list for tech and data. Bridget Frey, Rocket’s chief data officer, was featured under the “innovators” category.

Rocket acquired real estate platform Redfin in July 2025, and Frey joined the company during the combination, assuming the role of Rocket’s chief data officer while continuing to serve as Redfin’s chief technology officer. In her current capacity, Frey works to combine both organizations’ data to create a more connected view of the customer across the homeownership journey. Rocket and Redfin are collectively working to integrate AI capabilities that can make homebuying experiences more intuitive, from personalized home recommendations to streamlined financing processes.

“I got my start in tech because of my dad, an appliance sales and repairman who brought home an early Apple computer and helped me take it apart and figure out how it worked. I had no idea that curiosity would turn into a career, let alone put me on a list with so many leaders I admire,” Frey wrote in a social media post. “These days, that curiosity looks like this: Harnessing data and AI to make sure someone searching for a home on Redfin doesn't have to explain their budget all over again a week later when they’re applying for a mortgage with Rocket. Same story, told once, understood everywhere.”
