One passionate mailbag

One of my roles at Kauzu is reading the mail we get from our website’s Contact page. I don’t know what kind of mail other startups get, but I’m guessing ours is more passionate than most.

People care about jobs.

(No, this isn't me. Not Kauzu HQ either!)

It’s not surprising some writers share bad news:

“As a recent graduate, I know the experience of searching for a job too well. As the anniversary of my graduation approaches, I’m still without employment related to my degree.”

“I even broke down and cried, because there seems to be no hope for a job for me ever again.”

But what I find amazing is how people transform their observations into a desire to work with us:

“I looked over this website and I really admire what you guys are doing. If it wouldn’t be too much to ask, I want to be a part of the movement.”

“It seems like the type of environment where people don’t feel like they’re becoming more of a drone with each passing day, and the work I would be doing would be directly helping the lives of other people, which is something that will always be important to me.”

“I’ve not only been involved with the job hunt process from the employee end (as I am now), but I’ve also interviewed, hired and developed hundreds of people in a previous life—so I know what works (often very little), what’s broken (lots!), and am passionate about Kauzu’s efforts to make the search and hiring process better.”

Best of all, we get messages that remind us why our mission matters:

“I will not buy into employers’ view that I’m worthless. I refuse to be defeated, because the world needs my contributions.”

We want to hear from you, too! Send us a message, or follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter. Let’s get connected!
