Northwestern Mutual Appoints Chief Digital and Information Officer

Dave Gordon will oversee the company’s digital products and technology foundations in his new role.

Northwestern Mutual, a life insurance company headquartered in Milwaukee, announced the appointment of its new chief digital and information officer. Dave Gordon takes on the role after serving as the company’s vice president and chief technology officer since 2023. 

In his previous role, Gordon spearheaded the software development behind Northwestern Mutual’s customer experience, as well as its digitally enabled products and corporate solutions. Before joining Northwestern Mutual, Gordon held roles including the chief technology and data officer at USAA Federal Savings Bank and the U.S. chief technology and operations officer for BMO Harris Bank. 

In his new capacity, he will oversee Northwestern Mutual’s technology and digital strategy, including AI capabilities, software and data engineering, enterprise architecture, tech infrastructure and cybersecurity. Gordon will also be responsible for its digital products and foundational tech capabilities.
