Nextech, a Canadian provider of AI-driven 3D modeling and event technology, has signed an agreement to acquire full ownership of Arway in a move to further integrate its technology ecosystem with Arway and Map Dynamics and create a more unified platform for the global events industry.

According to the announcement, Arway, which was spun out from Nextech in 2022, specializes in no-code, no-hardware augmented-reality navigation. Nextech already holds roughly 40 percent of Arway, and under the new agreement, will acquire all remaining common shares it does not currently own.

By bringing Arway back under full ownership, Nextech expects to streamline operations, eliminate redundancies and accelerate development across its combined technology stack. Following the acquisition, Arway will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, with its AR capabilities embedded directly into the Map D platform.
