Jason Hinkle (VP of Development) and the development team at Eventric, has recently made available a new release of Phreeze, and open source development framework for PHP that enables developers to quickly build powerful web applications in just a few clicks.

Phreeze is a MVC+ORM framework for PHP that provides URL routing, object-oriented DB access and RESTful JSON services which are consumed by the view layer. It integrates new technologies like Twitter Bootstrap and backbone.js.

Phreeze Builder will analyze an existing MySQL database and generate a basic web application.  A variety of modern Javascript libraries are utilized to create a rich, responsive user interface.  Behind the scenes the Phreeze framework provides powerful classes and a well organized structure for the PHP code.  The generated application works out of the box, however developers can build upon the code to create custom applications.

Phreeze was created by the development team at Eventric, a Chicago-based company that provides software and services for the music and entertainment industry.  The framework is stable and has been running on high-traffic production servers for several years.  Phreeze is now available as open-source for all developers.
