Unlike the many cloud-based companies available now, Lincolnwood-based ADAR IT prides itself on operating as an outsourced IT department for its clients. The company creates and operates a private cloud for each client in its data center and handles all aspects of migrating the business’ current systems to the cloud.

“We actually bundle a bunch of different services together to put together a complete package where we become the IT department for our clients,” ADAR IT CEO Vadim Vladimirskiy said.

And just this month the company secured $2.4 million in Series A funding to continue doing this and to push itself as a leader in providing cloud-based IT services to small and mid-size businesses. The funding was provided by Chicago-based MK Capital and BOSI Global will be brought on as an operating partner.

With the new funding, the company plans to significantly expand its 20-person team by as much as 50 percent this year and continue its focus on reaching more clients throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Vladimirskiy confirmed that the company is determined to “bring more top technical and sales talent onto our team” over the next year. The capital will be a key component to accelerating ADAR IT’s growth, he said.

The company’s five-year plan will set ADAR IT up to become “the premiere IT service provider to small and mid-size businesses across the country,” Vladimirskiy said.

By maintaining its focus on small and mid-size businesses, ADAR IT can continue to deliver enterprise-level services to a market that it considers underserved. The company provides IT services that are typically only affordable to larger businesses to smaller organizations in a cost effective way.

“There are so many small and mid-size businesses that can benefit from what we do,” Vladimirskiy explained. “That’s where we can deliver the most value.”

Based on its historic customer retention rate of 97 percent, it is obvious that ADAR IT’s clients see the value in the services offered.

Summer Chance, a current client and the Communications and Compliance Manager at Professional National Title Network, Inc., said that ADAR IT’s services provide the feeling of an internal IT department that is always there when needed.

“They have really helped us to see the possibilities with technology,” Chance said. “The service has been excellent.”

ADAR IT is now looking to the local startup community for assistance with continuing the path of both financial and team growth.

“We are really proud to be a Chicago-based startup and hope the community can help by spreading our story,” Vladimirskiy said. “This will help bring more funding sources and attract rockstar talent to our sales and technical teams.”
