Light & Wonder, a company specializing in cross-platform games, announced the promotion of Nathan Drane as its new chief product officer. Drane succeeds Rich Schneider who will move to the position of senior advisor following the appointment.

Light & Wonder works to develop immersive content that helps players build lasting connections across various platforms. The company operates three business divisions including Gaming, iGaming and SciPlay. Drane previously served as CPO of the company’s Gaming business. In his new capacity, he will lead all game creation across the company under one department.

“This new centralized content organization formalizes our global strategy of building the world’s best games in every market on every intended platform,” Drane said in a statement. “It provides us an opportunity to make data-driven development and roadmap decisions, gives us new opportunities to grow talent, and drives efficiencies throughout the game-creation process.”

In line with this structural change, SciPlay’s senior creative director Pam Wagner will lead the cross-channel initiative for SciPlay and join Light & Wonder’s content leadership team, which features members from each of its three divisions.
