Legion, a New York-based company that builds AI-powered security operations tools, has raised $38 million in Series A funding led by Coatue, with additional investments from Accel, Picture Capital and individual backers from companies like Google, CrowdStrike and Wiz.
According to a news release, the company will use the funding to scale its browser extension-based AI security operations center companion, which turns internal security expertise into automated workflows. The tool learns an organization’s unique security patterns and improves them over time without requiring additional integrations or APIs.
Legion is already supporting Fortune 500 companies in industries such as finance, healthcare and energy, which continue to report up to 90 percent reductions in investigation and response times.
