I've freelanced web development teaching myself while working at a grocery store, gigging/touring bands, hotel, office secretary, coffee shop, de-construction, and sales/customer service. Then I worked for some web development companies which was good and bad. After a failed NDA/private startup didn't work, I quit client/contract work and went straight to the baseline of creating mobile products that I enjoying using and consistantly getting user input and refining them without the fixed hour/budget hard lines and 960px perfect website-equals-photoshop-document demands. I did some more client work and failed at a lot of personal project ideas getting my head around today's tools and strategies. Now I hope to encourage others in the community and blog about my mistakes and experiences. Chicago, I love thee!
