On June 14, HangItUp Chicago came together with six independent artists to transform a vacant Borders into a hip urban pop-up art gallery called GALLERY, NOW. What an adventure! Opening night brought roughly 600 people through our doors and more than 2000 came throughout the course of the 12 day event.

Since HangItUp Chicago is a web based business - no storefront, no inventory - GALLERY, NOW was a great community building event. Fifteen artists represented by HangItUp Chicago participated in the exhibit, with opening night giving each of them the opportunity to meet each other and see each other's work in person.

HangItUp Chicago believes strongly in supporting the Chicago artist community. GALLERY, NOW proved to be a great way to generate some buzz for each of these talented artists. We hope to open another pop-up gallery in the next 6 - 12 months.
