The Edward L. Kaplan, '71, New Venture Challenge is the premier business creation competition at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is hosted by the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship. More at https://www.chicagobooth.edu/nvc.
A total of 130+ teams entered the competition. The rigorous NVC process included two phases and a finals competition. Several serial entrepreneurs, venture capitalist, incubators, and Chicago Booth faculty members served as judges who provided constructive criticism and insights to entrepreneurs. GradMags made it to the finals and secured 4th position in the overall competition. We would like to thank Steve Kaplan, Neubauer Family Distinguished Service Professor of Entrepreneurship and Finance, Chicago Booth who heads the program and all the mentors and judges who supported the GradMags vision, validated the idea, and provided fantastic insight from their rich entrepreneurial and VC experience.
