Friday, May 11 I will be at Butch McGuire's. I would love to have you come by and meet for a drink. If you are downtown, just hop on the Red Line and go north. Get off at Clark and Division. It's just east of the El stop a couple of blocks. You can also take the 151 or 156 bus north and get off at Division.
I was thinking of some other spots, but I have a long history at Butch's. My wife and I spent a wonderful St. Patrick's Day there before we were married in 1984. We saw the Cubs blow two games there in the 1984 series with the Padres. My friend, Bob O'Connell who bartended there in 1984 still bartends there on Sunday. I have spent a few St. Paddy's there with him. It's also a neighborhood place for me so I won't have far to go home. Plenty of parking nearby, so friends from the suburbs can get there easy.
I hope you can make it. We will try and get a good turnout of friends. Should be fun. No, I am not doing shots.
