Automated Compliance Platform Drata Acquires SafeBase

Drata, a company specializing in automated governance, risk and compliance solutions, announced a definitive agreement to acquire SafeBase, a cybersecurity company offering an AI-powered trust center platform. The merger, valued at $250 million, aims to yield a seamless ecosystem that integrates trust, governance, risk and compliance.

SafeBase operates a network of trust centers and AI-powered security questionnaire capabilities for companies including OpenAI and SentinelOne. Its products have helped its customers fuel revenue growth and build marketplace trust. Drata provides automation-driven compliance and vendor risk management solutions, helping more than 7,000 customers continuously monitor security controls, streamline audits and manage internal and third-party risk.

By combining their complementary platforms, Drata and SafeBase aim to offer real-time trust centers for enhanced transparency; AI-powered automation to fuel faster security reviews; automation to scale compliance; enhanced vendor risk management tools; and scalable governance, risk and compliance programs.
