Cybersecurity company Dragos recently announced two new acquisitions that will help further its extended operational technology, or xOT, platform. The company acquired NetRise and runZero to enhance its solutions that help businesses comprehensively view and defend their full xOT environment across connected devices, networks, cloud, software supply chain and the operational core.
“The world’s largest companies have invested heavily in enterprise IT security, yet it’s their cyber-physical systems that generate revenue and carry national and local security impact,” Robert M. Lee, Dragos’ chairman and CEO, said in a statement. “Organizations across electric, oil and gas, manufacturing, data centers and other critical infrastructure sectors need to defend every system that can influence a physical process. That extended environment is xOT. NetRise, runZero and Dragos defend it together.”
Dragos’ latest acquisitions follow the close of a majority investment from Accenture, which served to fuel platform growth. Coinciding with the transaction, runZero CEO HD Moore, NetRise CEO Thomas Pace and NetRise CTO and Chief Scientist Michael Scott will lead the integration of NetRise and runZero into the Dragos Platform.
The integration will expand the Dragos Intelligence Fabric, a decade’s worth of OT-specific telemetry and incident response data that informs the Dragos platform. Dragos EmberAI will draw on that expanded dataset to provide analysts faster and more robust guidance.
