Coursera and Udemy, a combined organization providing an online skills marketplace and learning platforms, announced new AI-powered capabilities, currently codenamed Project Helix. The solution will be an AI-native skills platform that enables companies to identify critical skills, personalize employee learning experiences, verify knowledge application and connect workforce progress to measurable business outcomes.
Project Helix will give organizations the ability to articulate business and career development goals in natural language and generate adaptive learning paths based on those goals; get suggestions for tailored learning experiences for each learner across various learning modalities; embed integrated skills into everyday work; and receive signals via graded assessments and practical observation that validate skills.
Several capabilities are available for customers now, including connectivity with several generative AI platforms for targeted development roleplay scenarios, graded roleplay, conversational analytics and AI browser deterrence. Other solutions, including enhanced LLM integrations, a skills insights hub and graded labs, will become available in the near future.
