CoPlane, a company leveraging AI to streamline back-office processes for enterprises, announced a $14 million seed funding round led by Ribbit.

The company primarily focuses on enterprise resource planning, or ERP, software, which is what most large organizations use to manage their finances, supply chains and operations. CoPlane’s goal is to dismantle and replace legacy ERP sprawl. Its early deployments with industrial, healthcare and technology companies have automated processes like invoice exception handling and sales order entry.

Enterprise back offices haven’t meaningfully improved in decades ... We’re building CoPlane to change that and to give tech, supply chain, manufacturing, healthcare and financial services enterprises the same kind of leverage that the best technology companies have long had with their own custom systems,” Chris Sperandio, CoPlane’s co-founder and CEO, said in a statement.
