Matt Tuel has been appointed as the chief operating officer of commercetools, a company specializing in global commerce. In his new role, Tuel is tasked with enhancing operational efficiency, driving strategic growth and fostering collaboration across functions.

Tuel brings a wealth of leadership experience from his previous roles at Profitero, Logentries and Affinnova to commercetools.
Tuel succeeds commercetools co-founder Denis Werner as COO. Werner will transition to a new role as chief information security and compliance officer following the appointment. Additionally, Gireesh Sahukar has joined as vice president of implementation and customer solutions.
