As one of the fastest-growing sectors in tech, the global cybersecurity market is projected to reach a value of $345.4 billion by 2026. While the industry continues to expand, one of the companies within it is following suit. Minneapolis-based cybersecurity company Code42 recently announced that it’s opening two new office locations — one in Atlanta and one in Austin.

Specializing in insider risk management (IRM), Code42 works to help enterprise security teams protect their organization’s data and reduce the threat of employees, contractors or partners leaking confidential information. The company says that its Incydr SaaS product allows teams to mitigate file exposure and exfiltration risks without disrupting legitimate work and collaboration. This solution makes investigations easier, so security teams can make fast, informed decisions about how to respond before it’s too late. Following a year of growth, the company is positioning itself for continued success with the addition of its new offices.

“Code42 expanded into Atlanta and Austin because both cities are up and coming tech hubs within the U.S.,” a company spokesperson told Built In via email. “Austin is becoming known as one of the fastest growing tech environments, and Atlanta is currently home to more than a dozen cybersecurity companies. Both regions will allow Code42 to tap into new, diverse talent pools from each innovative community.”

The insider risk market is a growing space, and Code42 attributes this to three factors. The first is the rise of data and files digitization, which makes it easier to share and collaborate with data, as well as exfiltrating it. The next reason is an increase in remote work and employees using unauthorized apps to share company files. Finally, considering the ongoing “Great Resignation,” companies are at a higher risk of employee disloyalty.

The company’s Austin office, headed by CPO Lisa Woodson, opened back in September. Meanwhile its Atlanta office, led by CMO Alexandra Gobbi, is slated to open in January 2022. Both office spaces are intended to be collaborative and leave room for company expansion. Its location in Austin at 3200 Gracie Kiltz Lane is built for 15 people. Its space in Atlanta at 788 Circle 75 Parkway will open with 13 seats, the spokesperson said.

Code42 most recently built out its platform with new capabilities and software integrations. It added new features to its Incyder solution, as well as launched its Instructor product, an employee education solution for reducing insider threats. Code42 integrates with programs such as Microsoft 365, Okta and Splunk. The company currently serves over 50,000 organizations across the globe.

Poised to continue this growth, Code42 is hiring for several roles between its two new offices. With a team of over 500, the company is currently hiring across front end web development, talent acquisition, field marketing, web experience and strategy, product management, software development, sales and customer support.
