CMap, a Manchester-based software developer for professional service companies, pulled in a new investment from private equity firm ECI Partners. CMap works to help businesses improve their operations and commercial success by offering simple software solutions tailored to specific industries.

CMap has clients in sectors across consulting, architecture, engineering and construction sectors. Its automation software aims to help businesses increase project profitability, optimize staff utilization and make accurate forecasts. Its goal is to provide a single platform for operational success and eliminate its clients’ use of spreadsheets and siloed systems.

“We have tracked CMap for a long time and have been hugely impressed by the team, product and market opportunity that the business faces into,” ECI partner Stephen Roberts said in a statement. “The company is well-placed to continue its rapid growth trajectory in the AEC and consulting sectors, both in the U.K. and globally.”

The new investment from ECI aims to help CMap to grow its team, deepen its market presence, fuel expansion across the U.K. and the United States, all while advancing its product roadmap to improve customer offerings.
