Bartesian is moving its HQ to Fulton Market. Bartesian takes the hassle out of cocktail making with a machine that functions similar to a Keurig by using capsules filled with the ingredients to make your favorite mixed drink. Bartesian announced it is moving its headquarters to a nearly 10,000-square-foot space in Fulton Market. It will contain a private speakeasy with an expansive main floor. GrubHub Partnered with 7-Eleven. GrubHub, the food delivery service, partnered with gas station chain 7-Eleven. The partnership also includes the launch of GrubHub Goods, which will deliver different types of convenience goods from 7-Eleven such as snacks and Slurpees. Alumni Ventures opened an office in Chicago. Big-name venture firm Alumni Venture has expanded out to Chicago. The new office allows Alumni Venture to invest in the communities and opportunities of the region, including the University of Chicago and the University of Wisconsin. Science on Call got $1.6M. Science on Call created an on-demand, 24/7 tech support platform for the restaurant industry at a time when eateries are becoming more custom to incorporating technology into their services.
