Well, we had an exciting weekend in Chicago. We attended the 2nd annual TechWeek Chicago conference and expo at the Merchandise Mart, which is now conveniently the new tech nest in Chicago (not forgetting the ITA of course).
We had the honor of being picked to have a booth space at the conference during the Startup City. They gave us a nice space nestled in with all the other companies who's names started with B. The gratis package also included conference passes for our team and a nice listing in the TechWeek program book. You bet that is going to be framed.
Its safe to say our booth was a wild success. We stood out nicely with our bright orange t-shirts and signage, despite this years TW volunteers also wearing orange. We were able to show a demo reel of our new app that will be launching this summer which got our audience excited. We found a lot of travelers that wish we had launched years ago when they were pounding the national pavement for their jobs. We asked many to be part of our beta test group which will be instrumental to the app's launch.
This day was a huge success allowing us to brand and showcase our awesomeness to the tech world. We were even able to land an interview with Nibletz, a tech-startup-focused news site and got picked for an interview to be featured in a documentary about startups. What's there to complain about? I suppose other than our feet hurting form standing all weekend.
Thanks TechWeek for all your support for us and the Chicago startup community. We cant wait until next year.
