Bedrock Robotics, a heavy equipment automation company headquartered in San Francisco, launched from stealth with $80 million in funding. Founded by former Waymo engineers, Bedrock works to outfit existing fleets with hardware and software to power autonomous operations.

The company provides construction customers with reversible, same-day tech installations. Its Bedrock Operator platform integrates with existing machines and workflows, allowing builders to accelerate project schedules, increase profitability and safety and track job progress. Bedrock’s systems run on machines such as excavators and currently serve construction sites across Arizona, Texas and Arkansas.

Backed by its seed and Series A capital, led by Eclipse and 8VC, respectively, Bedrock plans to expand its team across engineering, operations and commercialization. The company will also invest in furthering its partnerships to help it achieve operator-less deployment in 2026.
