Civitas snags $16 million funding

Civitas Learning has announced a $16 million Series C round this week. Funding was led by Rethink Education, a New York-based venture capital firm. The software maker will use the infusion of capital to grow the startup. Volusion raises $55M Series A

Volusion raised a $55 million Series A round last week, with funding led by Houston-based Main Street Capital Corp. Financing will be used to hire up to 150 more workers this year. Bypass Mobile will expand with $5.5M

Software developer Bypass Mobile has raised $5.5 million. The Austin-based company will use the funding to expand its share of the mobile point-of-sale market, moving into college campuses and cruise ships. Veteran-focused incubator The Bunker heads to Austin

The country's first niche incubator for veteran run and founded tech startups will open its second location in Austin. Executive Director Blake Hogan, formerly with Sage Glass and a First Lieutenant with United States Marine Corps, will lead the incubator.
