Arrive Logistics, the Austin startup behind a tech-driven freight brokerage platform, completed a Series A worth over $10 million. The funding news follows a year of record growth, which included aggressive hiring initiatives and a pace of more than doubling year-over-year revenue between 2017 and 2018. Newchip secures $2M in funding
Newchip raised a $2 million seed round last week. The young company is building a new platform for investors at all levels to invest in startups. JadeValue Fintech, Yeoman’s Capital, Sputnik ATX, Youbi Capital and Polymath led the funding. CEO Ryan Rafols launched the fintech startup in 2016. Skipper, formerly The Waggle Company, launched its second market in Austin last week. The Charlotte-based startup and Techstars Austin alum provides on-demand, customized dog sitting and walking services. WP Engine makes first tech acquisition
WP Engine announced that it has acquired StudioPress, a leading theme framework provider for millions of WordPress sites. Siemens announced on Friday that it will acquire the Austin-based software maker Austemper Design Systems. CEO and founder Sanjay Pillay launched Austemper Design Systems in 2015.
