The Austin tech scene had a busy week, with big news from Tesla and several funding rounds. Read on to see how these moves are impacting Silicon Hills. This is the Built In Austin weekly refresh.

Tesla moved its HQ. Tesla officially announced its headquarters move to the Tesla Gigafactory site at 13101 Harold Green Road in Austin, according to an SEC filing. The filing comes less than two months after Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the relocation at the company’s annual shareholders meeting. Meanwhile, Musk’s SpaceX is also expanding in the region. SpaceX has two locations in Texas, with one in McGregor and another in the Brownsville and South Padre area. [Built In Austin]

Iodine Software became a unicorn. The healthtech startup became a unicorn after a strategic growth investment deal with private equity investor Advent International. Iodine Software uses AI to interpret raw medical data and provides insights for hospital administrators and clinicians. The funding will help fuel new products in other areas of healthcare delivery. Wise announced an expansion. Wise announced its 2022 expansion plan in North America, which includes expanding its operations to Austin. The company plans to hire more than 150 people between its new Austin location and New York City headquarters. Wise is a tech company finding better ways to move money around the world by allowing people and businesses to move money between countries and spend funds abroad. [Business Wire]
