Tech Talk at Outdoor Voices, Nov. 28 at 6:30 p.m.
Women Who Code Austin will meet at Outdoor Voices on Tuesday for this month’s Tech Talk event. Kevin Harwood, Caleb Brown and Tricia Katz will speak on fostering a culture of innovation, principles that help engineers write maintainable code and the e-commerce, retail and operation systems in place at Outdoor Voices. Food and drinks will be provided.
MobilityX Pitch Competition, Nov. 29 at 8 a.m.
MobilityX will host its first “Solve for X” pitch competition this Wednesday at Capital Factory. The all-day event will provide startups the opportunity to pitch solutions that will enhance Daimler Financial Services and Mobility Services. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers.
HackerNest Austin November Tech Social, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m.
Join HackerNest Austin at WeWork on 6th for this month’s tech social. The evening will include networking, beverages and a few quick announcements, followed by more networking.
Kx Workshop: Databases and kdb+/q, Nov. 30 at 9:30 a.m.
Thursday’s Kx workshop will cover an introduction to databases and back-end engineering, kdb+ basics, working with sample databases, on-disk database structure and more. The event will be held at Capital Factory. Attendees should bring their laptops.
The Takeaway Party - Live Music, Great Drinks, Fun & Prizes, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m.
Team Austin is hosting its second annual Takeaway Party, featuring live music, VR simulations, raffles, giveaways and food and drinks to benefit the Team Austin Foundation Scholarship. The event will be held at Clearport ATX and is open to the public and free to members.
