Women Who Code Austin Lightning Learning, April 2 at 6:30 p.m.

Head to uShip this Monday night for Women Who Code Austin’s Lightning Learning event. These events feature five- to 10-minute conversations on any topic related to programming, technology, or experiences as a woman working in technology. The event is intended for all women (trans and cis), trans men, and genderqueer folks.

5 Minutes to… Share Something Awesome! April 3 at 6 p.m.

RetailMeNot is kicking off a new quarterly speaker series featuring five-minute talks given by anyone about any topic they choose — be it history, entertainment, education, etc. Now, they are opening it up to the public. Tuesday night’s speakers include Taylor Barnett of Stoplight and Women Who Code Austin, Megan Fanale of Abilitie, Josh Ruben of The Daily Dot, Brent Wistrom of Austin Inno, and four folks from RetailMeNot.

Ladies Get Paid Austin: How to Negotiate Your Salary Like a Pro, April 4 at 6:30 p.m.

Ladies Get Paid Austin will meet this Wednesday evening for a workshop on negotiating your salary. At the session, attendees will receive scripts for various scenarios, recommended resources and role-play exercises. Allegra Brantly, a Ladies Get Paid certified negotiation instructor, will lead the event.

The Power of Community — InMotion Software, April 5 at 7 p.m.

InMotion Software will host a small business owner and leadership meetup on Thursday for a session on how the power of community leads to inspired employees, happier customers and profit growth. Please bring a notepad, pen, paper and laptop.
