VR Awards 2017 Austin Showcase, Feb. 5 at 4 p.m.
Stop by Capital Factory’s VR Lab on the fifth floor this week to check out some of the leading VR content of the year. Capital Factory, AMD Studios and VR Bound have teamed up to showcase some of the featured experiences from the 2017 VR Awards. This event will start at 4 p.m. and run Monday through Friday this week.
TCEA Edtech Edcamp Austin, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m.
Edcamp and Edtech Austin will host a joint meetup this Tuesday at Capital Factory. Refreshments will be provided. Come network, share ideas, exchange business cards and collaborate on how to improve the learning experience for students and teachers.

Tech Ranch is hosting one of its Campfire Entrepreneur Networking events this Tuesday. The evening will feature a speaker, who will share valuable experiences from their own entrepreneurial journey. Guided networking to help attendees connect with attendees will follow.
How Marketers are F-ing up Austin Startups, Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m.
Auston Online Marketers for Entrepreneurs (AUSOME) will welcome guest speaker Paul O’Brien, a CMO startup veteran from Silicon Valley on Wednesday. O’Brien’s talk will take a look at the role marketing plays in early ventures, how startups should prioritize marketing and how to help the Austin tech community thrive. The event will be held on the 16th floor at Capital Factory.
Effective Product Management: Lessons from the Social Casino, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.
At this bimonthly meetup, Video Game Makers Unite will host Mark Tait of Scientific Games Interactive. Tait will share product management lessons he learned the hard way from the past five years. He’ll review topics like product management best practices, various product management roles, effective feature development and more.
