Persefoni, which makes software that helps companies track and manage their environmental footprints, just raised a $50 million Series C1 round of funding. Led by TPG Rise, Friday’s round brings the company’s total funding to more than $150 million.
Alongside the funding news, Tempe, Arizona-based company also announced the launch of a new AI co-pilot, PersefoniGPT, to help users navigate their vast troves of carbon data.
Carbon accounting is a growing need for companies, government agencies and financial institutions due to regulation and consumer demand for more climate-friendly practices. Persefoni’s software helps its users compare their own performance against industry benchmarks, identify high-emission areas in need of improvement and streamline their emissions reporting and auditing processes.
Persefoni’s customers include Citi, Burlington and Bain & Company. The company will use the funding to expand on its product’s capabilities, including in the AI space.
