AI research company Anthropic is valued at $965 billion following its Series H funding round. The $65 billion tranche was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks and Sequoia Capital, and it closely follows the company’s Series G from February. This raise comes on the tail of increased adoption of Anthropic’s Claude model among enterprise customers; the company’s run-rate revenue crossed $47 billion in May.

Claude is available through AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, and Anthropic has significantly expanded its compute capacity by furthering its partnerships with these providers and others. It will benefit from up to 5 gigawatts of new capacity from Amazon, 5 gigawatts of TPU capacity from Google and Broadcom and access to GPU capacity in Colossus 1 and Colossus 2 from Space X.

Equipped with its new funding, Anthropic plans to scale partnerships likes these alongside its products. It will primarily focus on advancing its safety and interpretability research and further expand compute to meet growing demand for Claude.

“Claude is increasingly indispensable to our growing global community of customers, and we work tirelessly to make tools like Claude Code and Cowork more helpful, more powerful, and more adaptable to their needs,” Krishna Rao, Anthropic’s CFO, said in a statement. “This funding will help us serve the historic demand we are experiencing, stay at the research frontier, and bring Claude to more of the places where work happens.”
