Professional business platform 8am recently announced the appointment of its new chief executive officer. Jeff Hughes is taking on the role, bringing three decades of experience scaling hospitality, retail, financial services and energy businesses to the company. He succeeds Dru Armstrong in the position.
The company serves law firms, accounting firms, associations and other businesses, delivering solutions for streamlining billing, payments, compliance and case management. Prior to joining 8am, Hughes served as CEO at Enverus, a software and data analytics company where revenue grew sixfold under Hughes’ leadership. At 8am, he will leverage his expertise to expand market share through product and tech-led growth and acquisition strategies.
“I’ve had the privilege of working alongside this 8am team as executive chair, and I’m excited to step more deeply into the CEO role,” Hughes said in a statement. “What excites me most is the opportunity ahead, to continue innovating on behalf of our customers and partners, to accelerate our work in AI and to expand the reach and impact of the 8am platform for the professionals who rely on us every day.”
