Technical QA Engineer

Within the Tag core team, reporting to a technical team lead, you will reinforce an agile multi-skilled team whose mission is to find new ways to improve and optimize the innovative features of our AB Tasty client side.
AB Tasty client side tag is a JavaScript script, written in TypeScript, in charge of executing all the magic of AB Tasty (AB Testing, personalization, analytics, etc.) Thanks to a React.js/Redux webapp, our customers can define test campaigns and customize tag settings tailored to their needs. We then use Webpack within an AWS Lambda written in TypeScript along with REST APIs written in PHP / Symfony to dynamically provide the best tag experience based on client's account data.
The tag core team is responsible for performance improvements, webappâs tag settings and tag refresh, browser compatibility, overall quality and stability, new challenges with cookieless tracking, core architecture, etc. The tag is a critical part of our business, a bug can be encountered by millions of visitors in productionâŠ
This role is ideal for someone with an interest in bootstrapping QA metrics and monitoring processes within a critical environment with experience in software quality assurance, particularly in automated testing frameworks for end-to-end (E2E) JavaScript UI testing and API testing. Your role will be to drive the QA effort of the squad.
In addition, you will join our cross-squad chapter of QA engineers, to share knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices, and develop common principles for QA across the company.
Technical environment: Cypress, JavaScript/TypeScript, Sélénium, Postman, Grafana, etc.
đ A few examples of your responsibilities:
- Working closely with all Engineering and Product teams:Â
- Owner of the testing strategy including external teams tag code contributions
- Define and execute test plans
- Set and monitor tag team quality metrics
- Assist support team on Level 3 bug analysis and production incidents
- End-to-end test writing and maintenance
- Manual testing and ticket validation
- Depends on the roadmap, further missions like Bootstrap performance tests

- Proficiency in UI automation using Cypress or Playwright is also required
- Experience within automation testing of API automation testings using TypeScript/Javascript
- Basic understanding of REST API testing using tools such as Postman and SwaggerÂ
- Knowledge of working with cloud-based micro-services architectures and used to contribute to testing efforts
- Use of code and bug management tools, including Git and Jira
- Collaborate effectively with Agile Scrum/Kanban teams. Ensure timely and high quality delivery
- You can communicate effectively with the product team, the development engineers and other QA engineers.
- Skills in problem solving and software debugging.
- Fluent in French, professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Nice to have: Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools

Our hiring process is made of 4 steps:
1. A Discovery Interview with our Talent Acquisition team (Christine): talk about yourself (experience, career expectations...) and what we offer (environment, missions...) - 45 to 60 minutes
2. A Hiring Manager Interview (Romain) to get to know you better. You'll discuss your skills and motivation to join our team - 60 minutes
3. A Technical Interview to assess your coding and test automation skills with someone from the team - 60 minutes
4. Last round: Let's meet the whole team for a 30-minute meeting to get to know each other.
