Description and Requirements
Duties: Analyze complex software features and develop fully effective autonomous software test automation to validate functionality and business process. Build useful tools, frameworks and test setup to minimize manual testing and to write automated tests for the product. Develop practical standards and reference implementations for automation using the automation toolset, maintain a library of test automation for existing application and develop tools to assist in the testing and development of application. Run manual testing and/or software development when necessary. Work with DevSecOps engineers and systems reliability engineers to define best practices for test automation and validation of non-functional requirements within continuous integration/continuous deployment flows. Investigate, diagnose and repair problems, test bugs and create and manage bug reports. Innovate and improve the testing process to gain efficiencies. Conduct testing and test automation reviews developed by agile teams and agile release trains. Coordinate with all partner teams to ensure quick issue resolution for production incidents and enhancements and support biweekly/monthly PROD releases and major releases.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus six (6) years of experience performing software test script design and automation or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Science or MIS (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience performing software test script design and automation. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirement not applicable to this section) -- must possess the following: conducting complex test automation and test data management; developing software test automation using Selenium framework, Subject7, Postman, Newman, Cucumber, Gherkin or TOSCA; implementing continuous testing and continuous integration pipelines using Azure DevOps or AWS; investigating using logs AWS CloudWatch and diagnosing problems on platforms, including web, services, back-end applications, batch applications, and cloud; and performing testing and test automation reviews using Agile Software Delivery. Hybrid - 3 days in office/2 days remote.
