About the Role

RootstockLabs exists to make Bitcoin work for everyone. We do this through giving developers the tools to build on Bitcoin, supporting the growth of the Rootstock ecosystem and expanding the frontiers of decentralised technology. 
As we enter our next stage of growth, we are looking for an experienced Web3 Media & Influencer Relations Lead to join our Go-To-Market Team. The Media & Influencer Relations Lead will play a key role in developing brand awareness for the Rootstock sidechain, IoVLabs and our family of brands. 

You will work alongside the wider brand team on campaigns to increase brand awareness, amplify the success of our partners, attract developers and drive adoption of Rootstock, the first Bitcoin sidechain. 

This is an exciting opportunity to work in web3 and on the cutting edge of technology. You will play a strategic and hands-on role working with senior leaders in the business to develop a long term PR and Influencer relations strategy while also managing key external agencies and our day-to-day press activity.

• Developing and executing day-to-day media strategy and campaigns, including storytelling, executive profiling and thought leadership 
• Build, launch and manage a influencer and key opinion leader marketing programme designed to support the growth of the Rootstock ecosystem
• Ensure regular, positive coverage in national and global publications focusing on finance, technology, business, and innovation alongside trade media and regional press in the markets we operate in
• Write and edit clear and compelling quotes, press releases and by-lined articles
• Proactively manage external agencies, editorial calendars and media enquiries
• Analyze, measure and regularly report on the results of our PR programs 
• Manage external agencies, budgets and campaign ROI
• Work closely with the social media strategist and community manager to grow online communities, engage influencers and amplify messages across traditional and new media
• Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting IoVLabs and our brands and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them

• 3+ years experience working in PR and influencer management for a Web3 brand 
• BSc/BA in PR, communications, marketing, journalism or similar
• Existing relationships with journalists and influencers across the crypto space 
• A track record of successful PR campaigns driving real business impact
• A strong understanding of the Web3 industry and hands on experience using different chains and protocols 
• Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills
• A strong sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy 
• Experience managing external agencies working with the crypto media
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail 
• Knowledge of day to day media monitoring tools such as Cision, Meltwater, Response Source etc. 
• A finger on the pulse of PR with knowledge of cutting-edge strategies, tools and tactics that can be part of integrated marketing strategies
• A strong grasp of social media with an existing presence in the conversation
