The Marketing Operations function is at the center of our commercial team. The team is accountable for our commercial strategy, analysis and delivery for our categories. With a unique view across the entire lead generation funnel, and a uniquely broad understanding of the levers across MVF, the Marketing Operations team is the key to our sustained growth.
The team ensures that our leads perform well for our clients, that our clients continue to grow their orders and that MVF is able to fulfil these orders efficiently and profitably.
The Role
The VP of Marketing Operations role for our B2B Americas business is a critical leadership role in the business with. They will form a part of the B2B Americas leadership team, alongside the VP of Marketing, VP of Sales and Managing Director. Their responsibilities will include:
- Building, developing and leading the Marketing Operations function for Americas
- Supporting the MVF strategy and ensuring our team is set up for success to deliver these
- Achieving Revenue and Gross Profit targets of the Americas B2B Hub in line with the business plan.
- Setting the strategic commercial direction of the Americas Hub categories through the team.
As VP of Marketing Operations for Americas, your role will include responsibility for setting and executing against the commercial strategy for Americas and leading the Ops/Strat team across the businesses.
You will be responsible for delivering against the financial targets of the Americas Hub. You will take an active role in growing our clients and strategies making smart commercial decisions which deliver value to our clients, customers and MVF.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality commercial decisions are made by the Americas Ops/Strat team.
You will collaborate with the other functional heads, managers and commercial leadership to ensure that the goals of the Americas Hub are achieved.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the decision making of the deployed Ops/Strat teams is of the highest quality, actively participating in day to day decision making and helping to solve complex problems.
You will ensure that the team works effectively and performs well against OKRs and KPIs and that the marketing and sales teams are aligned on prioritisation.
A core part of your role will be to ensure that the deployed teams develop and grow in their skill and competence, by setting the standards for the team and coaching and supporting where necessary.
You will collaborate with the functional Heads and Director to ensure that processes and ways of working in our Americas businesses are consistent with the wider Marketing Ops/Strat team, and in developing and delivering the integrated roadmap. You will be responsible for contributing to the decision making on assigned strategic choices ensuring they are aligned to both subcat and client strategy.
Your Responsibilities
- Leading a team of 5-15 Marketing Operations managers and juniors deployed to the Americas B2B Trading Hub.
- Holding 1:1s with the Ops managers to help prioritise work and share key information.
- Ensuring the team is adequately resourced and is running efficiently.
- Playing a vital part in facilitating, creating, deciding, and managing the Roadmap across Americas B2B
- Ensuring our data and analytics are cutting edge and at the heart of our decision making throughout the teams.
- Working with managers and commercial leadership to ensure SMART objectives are set for the Americas Ops team and managing their progress
- Ensuring that the Americas Ops team are consistently performing strongly.
- Helping to deliver totally New Categories to MVF to fuel our growth.
- Hiring and developing the team.
