This contract is working with the Department of Veterans Affairs and focuses on modernizing and improving the GI Bill claims processing system, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of education claims processing for veterans, service members, and their dependents.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

• Review the existing program's Test Automation approach and solutions, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Develop a Test Automation Improvement Plan and lead its execution.
• Lead a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle.
• Apply business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies with quality processes and methodologies.
• Utilize testing methodologies, principles, and processes to define and implement key metrics for managing and assessing the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.
• Provide test automation improvement updates to AFS Leadership, and work collaboratively with Tech Architects, Product Analysts, and Application SMEs to ensure the test strategy fully covers all integration points and handshakes.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years leading automated testing in an agile, SDLC environment.
• At least 3 years experience using Jira or another bug/requirement tracking system and working with development teams to resolve issues.

Certifications

• Relevant certifications in Test Automation and Quality Assurance are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools.
• Advanced knowledge of scripting languages and automation frameworks.
