Technical Manager, Software Development
What does a successful Technical Manager, Software Development do at Fiserv?
As a Technical Manager, Software Development you will be part of The Carat B2B Enterprise Products team. This team delivers solutions that enable large and mid-sized B2B sellers to digitize their business payments management. Our leading product, SnapPay, directly integrates with our clients' ERPs/e-commerce platforms and automates payments and financial workflows that otherwise cost clients significant time and manual effort. As a Technical Manager, you'll be pivotal, spearheading the development of both existing and new product functionalities. From shaping our multi-year roadmap to collaborating with cross-functional teams, your leadership will drive our success in the market.
What you will do:
- As one of the team's Engineering leads, you are responsible for supporting and evolving existing product use cases, as well as developing new use cases that enable product functionality for our clients and partners
- Play a key role in the multi-year product roadmap by directly enabling our product strategy through all points of the software development lifecycle
- Partner closely with our product, sales, and engineering teams to develop our roadmap of capabilities and bring them live in market
- Develop prototypes of proposed systems and present them to stakeholders for approval to proceed with features/ roadmap items
- Create comprehensive design documents that outline specifications and plans for new solutions
- Manage and lead teams to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and system specifications
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent combination of experience, education and military
- 7+ years of Software Development experience, with experience in React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, C#, .NET Core 6.0 and above, ASP.NET Core
- Experience in .NET Framework 4.X, MVC, WebAPI, Entity Framework
- Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL Server and Cosmos DB
- DevOps experience with Azure, Git or GitHub
- Application deployment to IIS and Cloud Services
- 2+ years experience leading software development teams and development engineering talent
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new features and functionality; and translate into technical requirements and development plans - May be single point of contact
What would be great to have:
- Hands on experience in handling client data PII in cloud platform (Azure, Snowflake, AWS or Google cloud)
- Experience in UI/UX design, reporting/dashboarding/data retrieval preferred
- Comfort with technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve issues with payment processing systems
- Clear and effective communication
