Bullhorn is looking for a problem-solving systems focused technologist to become our next Systems Administrator II. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and operating products and solutions for Bullhorn’s production environment, while ensuring 24/7 availability. The position requires proven technical experience along with a positive attitude.
As a Systems Administrator, you will:
● Monitor and maintain all production system equipment and services
● Ensure 24/7 availability of the Bullhorn production application environments. This will include weekend on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis.
● Be a mentor to other Systems Administrators within the team
● Document technical environments, processes and procedures.
● Provide direct support to Software Development, Quality Engineering, Customer Support, Professional Services and third party vendors as needed to resolve production problems
● Maintain network and systems configurations globally across numerous data centers
● Develop system analysis and reporting tools and tools for task automation
● Participate in the planning and execution of new product deployment and enhancement projects, ensuring preparedness in servicing the product
As a Systems Administrator, You'll Bring:
● 5+ years total experience with systems administration, as well as hardware and software troubleshooting ● Strong Linux skills (Redhat/CentOS, Debian)
● Experience in managing containerized environments (Docker & Kubernetes)
● Proficiency in Log Management with ELK, Splunk, Sumo Logic, or equivalent
● Skilled in one or more of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP
● Experience with operating infrastructure which supports Java or .NET based applications
● Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Powershell, Bash
● Previous experience in a SaaS and/or high volume website environment preferred ● Experience in automation and managing large server environments
● Strong understanding of RAID storage
● Previous oncall experience
Bonus points for:
● LDAP/Kerberos authentication against Microsoft Active Directory
● SAN and NAS technologies (iSCSI, FCP, CIFS, NFS, etc)
● Open Source Project experience ● Puppet/CFEngine
