What You'll Do:

As a Sustainability Strategy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing our company's environmental sustainability initiatives. In this dynamic position, you will:

  • Develop comprehensive business cases for sustainability initiatives that align with the company's strategic objectives, demonstrating both environmental and economic benefits.
  • Perform rigorous market research to identify emerging sustainability trends, technologies, and practices that could offer competitive advantages or new opportunities for the business.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of sustainability investments over time, reporting on progress and adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve targets and enhance value creation.
  • Create and present compelling presentations to internal stakeholders, effectively communicating the strategic vision and business impacts of various sustainability priorities.
  • Collaborate with the finance and investment teams to develop and integrate sustainability into investment strategies and to develop funding mechanisms for sustainability projects.

Who You'll Work With

You'll join a forward-thinking team dedicated to embedding sustainability into the core of our business. You will:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of sustainability projects, ensuring that all business case components-from initial concept to implementation-are strategically sound and in line with organizational goals.
  • Interact with various stakeholders and executives across multiple functions, including finance, sales, product engineering, supply chain, and the Chief Sustainability Office.
  • Report to and support the Director of Sustainability Strategy in aligning sustainability initiatives with our broader business goals.

Who You Are

You are excited by problem solving and working with a diverse set of stakeholders. You may have spent time at a consulting firm or strategy team and bring with you a toolkit of frameworks and skills that make you invaluable to any team you join. You thrive in fast-paced environments and can respond positively and with agility. You have experience in strategy and communicating with senior leaders. You're experience includes:

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Math, Accounting, Information Systems or a related field from an accredited institution

• 3-5 years of corporate sustainability related experience

• Management consulting, strategy, or investment background preferred

• Developing executive-level business cases to drive organizational change

• Leading high-visibility, enterprise-level, initiatives in dynamic environments with tight turnarounds

• Executive-level communication and influence

• PowerPoint and Excel expertise; Proficiency in SharePoint

The ideal candidate will bring a mix of experience in strategy, consulting, and finance, in addition to sustainability subject matter expertise

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. The recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

U.S. employees have to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
