TITLE: Sr. Principal SAP Analyst (Reference Code: DS0517)

DUTIES:

Analyze highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business objectives. Serve as the technical lead for most SAP initiatives, and act as the project manager responsible for resource and budget management for assigned projects. Lead the design, configuration, implementation and support of SAP's Business solutions in a highly complex technical environment. Lead the design, implementation of large cross functional size projects such as implementing SAP in Japan. As a member of configuration team: mentor, lead, design and configure solutions to meet the most complex business requirements in the related areas such as MM, SD, FI, CO, QM, APO, SRM. Lead and manage all phases of the project life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and post-production support/maintenance. Develop and enforce standards and best practices for delivery of stable, reliable and highly available solutions. Lead the development of technical designs and architectures for development projects. Promote effective and collaborative communication with internal team members and Business Partners. Define project tasks and coordinate completion to ensure estimates are thorough and accurate. Create procedures to research and debug potential performance or other system anomalies for IT team members. (i.e. demonstrate superior problem resolution). Develop and maintain infrastructure to support technical documentation including: unit, integration, and acceptance test plans, support documentation, end user documentation for delivered solutions and other tasks. Oversee the development of day-to-day support policies and ensure the procedures are known and followed by the technical team. Communicate status of projects and initiatives to middle and senior level management. Mentor, develop, and motivate technical and analytical staff. Manage multiple projects/reporting solutions for multiple business areas and review/resolve resource constraints or environmental change impacts. May be required to work extended or non-standard hours to support business needs and project deadlines as needed. May work from home up to 2 days per week.

REQUIREMENTS:

7 years of experience in the offered position or related position (with no degree); or Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field plus 5 years of experience in the offered position or related position.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years of experience leading and mentoring team members and managing complex SAP global projects.
  • 5 years of experience in leading various phases of SAP Project Lifecycle including Blueprint, Configuration, Integration and User Acceptance Testing, Training, Documentation, and post cutover Production support phases.
  • 5 years of experience with configuration in all major areas of Quote to Cash Process, including Order Management (Make-to-Order and Make-to-Stock), Billing, Pricing, Availability Check, Transfer of Requirements, Credit Management, Consignment Sale, Third Party Sale, Inter-company Sale, Return and Refurbishment and Stock Transport order.
  • 5 years of experience integrating SAP with Third Party systems through iDocs using tools for Order Management, Shipping, Vertex (Taxation).

Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be "quantified" by "time". Required expertise/knowledge includes:

  • Experience in new implementations, upgrades, global roll-out projects in North America, Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America regions.
  • Cross-Module integration with modules including Materials Management (MM), Finance and Controlling (FI), Production Planning (PP), Business Warehouse (BW), Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
  • Experience handling complex analytical tasks by working directly with business leaders to translate functional design into technical specifications.
  • Business process and industry knowledge across multiple areas, including Sales, Customer Service, Reverse Logistics, Manufacturing, Shipping and Accounts Receivable.
  • Experience in configuring and supporting Payment card functionality using different Merchant IDS using a Payment Card Gateway Providers.
  • Experience in configuring and supporting Variant Configuration using Class, Characteristics, Object and Pricing Dependencies and Modelling configurator.
  • Experience with supporting Custom programs for First Date capture for Operations delivery performance, Backorder/Backlog reporting.
  • Experience with designing and supporting Billing Software-as-a-Service (SAAS) using Billing Plan.
  • Experience using project management skills, including ability to use influence, persuasion, and mediation to resolve issues and drive consensus.
  • Experience defining project tasks independently, managing definition of brand-new entities and developing a project plan that represents cross functional detailed tasks at multiple company levels.
