We are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our Biometric Patient Identity Engineering team. This team is responsible for the development of Biometric Patient Identity product, which utilizes biometric identification to link patients to their correct medical records. Biometric Patient Identity improves patient safety and satisfaction, eliminates duplicate medical records and guards against identity theft and insurance fraud.
Job Summary
This is a remote full-time internship opportunity based in Costa Rica. In this role you will be part of an agile team working on a variety of challenging projects to help building the product on cloud. You will have the opportunity to work with a group of talented and motivated engineers to solve problems with high level of complexity. You will interface with a variety of roles during the product lifecycle including Development, QA, Product Management, User Experience, and Release Management.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Python or Java
- Experience with Web and UI Development
- Experience of integrated development environments such as Visual Studio or Eclipse
- Solid knowledge of computer fundamentals
- Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server or Postgres
- In pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Desired Qualifications
- Previous work experience.
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud services and orchestration tool such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with Web applications using C# and .Net.
- Experience with UI development using Angular or React
- Self-sufficient, able to complete projects with little guidance.
- Detail oriented; able to multi-task; strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn with a passion for programming.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems by thinking analytically and creatively.
